When Larry Spencer ejected from his F-4 Phantom over North Vietnam the date was February 18th, 1966. He'd become one of the first 20 American POWs of the Vietnam War and it wouldn't be until February 12th, 1973 that he'd be free again.

While Larry Spencer sadly passed away in May of 2022, his voice lives on. Here's Larry Spencer in his own words courtesy of the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa.
